CONYERS, GA — January 7, 2026 — State Representative Doreen Carter will host Tyler Harper, Georgia’s Agriculture Commissioner, for a community conversation highlighting agriculture as Georgia’s number one industry. The event, Rooted in Georgia: Growing the Future of Agriculture, will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Global Growers Network, located at 2730 Bethel Road NE, Conyers, GA 30012.

 

Agriculture remains the backbone of Georgia’s economy—supporting jobs, innovation, food security, and economic opportunity across the state. This event will bring together state leadership, local growers, community partners, and residents to discuss how Georgia can continue to strengthen its agricultural sector while expanding opportunity at the local level.
